Political Cartoons and America's Rebellion
It has been said that a picture is worth a thousand words. Political cartoons communicate messages in intriguing and complex ways. In fact, both British and American caricaturists played major roles in influencing political and social opinions by using powerful propaganda during the American colonial rebellion. Because of successful implementation and popularity, political cartoons continue to be influential in the public sphere and students can emulate their effective strategies by creating their own images of relevant events.
